Years ago I was in a bad place with addiction shortly after the death of my Father; (knowing I needed help but was too afraid to ask.) Having always been a creative from spirit from a young age I thought to act on an idea that came from a dream. Upon my trek to find the medium my sister Claudia had used while working at Imagineering with Disney.
Of course when I discovered the material now came in colors rather than just white, well it blew my mind to say the least! I spent my only $20 buying the primaries, black and white. And off I went to get busy!
A few days in I used up all the primaries I had bought; making a big mess mind you- so while the big scap ball was too big to manage I cut through half and ...OMG! The concept of reducing the pattern slapped me in the face... in the first weeks I had been trying to create patterns actual size- with a garlic press no less!...
Need I say more? My drug addition was replaced right then and there!
Life changed.....
While developing my techniques along the way I developed my signature look with veneer beads. Now all these years later I celebrate just as passionately as I did the first month; and still LOVE it! I hope you Enjoy! Thanks for being a part of my journey-
